The way they go ( Patrick Kapp and friends) about their business it is clear that Midwestern Dirt come from our indie neck of the woods and that is evident in both the jangling playing as well as the singing which shows itself capable of making like this summer won’t be ending any time soon. In other words an innocence, a rapturous sense of excitement but held together so all the euphoria doesn’t impact upon the need for a song that makes sense. ‘The Aaron Waters Show’ has a lot going on, so much so that I took out my prized headphones from behind the locked glass cabinet so as to pick out its finer detail and such actions were rewarded by a tune that has a depth of beauty all the way through.
