Family Stereo – I Don’t Need Light

This is such a cutie from Blake Watt’s Family Stereo, at once uplifting and mournful but most definitely affecting to the point that it made me want to be a better person or at the very least go forth and hug someone in dire need of such an embrace. It is all achieved with the minimum of fuss, a simple strum, percussive laidbackness and a singer at its heart who can get us attuned to that long lost feeling of wonder and the endless hope that comes with being young and innocent and excited but a little afraid of what is coming down the tracks.
