Rum Jungle – All The Way Round and Back

There’s a sweetness here, a directness too and that comes from the close-mic lead performance which comes from an individual who wears their heart on their sleeve. The chords are the decoration while they wipe away the tears and I am guessing there were plenty of them given the level of emotional turmoil that is ‘All The Way Round and Back’. There is a claustrophobic quality to the production, makes it all the more personal and all the more intense too. Heartening stuff from this Newcastle (Australia) act, they may not get their happy ever after but we’ll have been thrilled along the way at the very least. KH
