Far Caspian – Own

Probably the closest I’ve heard to Joy Zipper, a band that had a dreamy demeanour with a penchant for all things 90’s and underrated to a huge degree. Irish act Far Caspian, Joel Johnston, might be about to take up the mantle based on this track ‘Own’, which has that languid sense of effervescent levity that combines jangle with harmony but which is still not afraid to veer off into unexpected territory when it cares to. Effortless summer sunshine despite the theme of inevitable fading of friendships as we navigate life. KH
