Wolfschmidt – Suffocated

Now that is how you blow away the cobwebs, a volley of riffs and feedback and a drummer who knows how to knock seven bells out of his drum kit. There is more to savour here too from Sweden’s Wolfschmidt and it comes at the barely breathed vocals, which offer more of the shoegaze sound of yore but does so in a manner that gives the sound a different kind of sheen, Mew like in many ways. This is really my kind of scene, an old piece of rope like me that just can’t find anything to match the 90’s scenes and ‘Suffocated; satisfies all of those urges completely. KH

    I was unfamiliar with Wolfschmidt, but really enjoyed this. Like you, I got strong ’90s vibes– this took me back to watching “120 Minutes” back in the 90s, where I discovered a lot of my favorite indie artists. Thank you for posting it!
