Slow Leaves – American Band

Sounds like it has come from a different time altogether, one where the living was good and innocent but tough to go with it. And especially where music was held in an exalted place with Roy Orbison at the help, because that is what kept us warm in the long winter nights. That Slow Leaves manage to combine that sepia-tinged effect with a song that has contemporary reasoning while taking in a view of the Traveling Wilburys mean that ‘American Band’ is completely irresistible. Summer has come early and we have have our soundtrack in the bag thanks to Manitoba’s Grant Davidson. KH
