Tobias Arbo – Powerlines

The first name that popped into my head was Sufjan Stevens of course, that folk quality that gets with that Christmas feeling or the endless flush of romance for old romantics that occurs all year around. Stockholm’s Tobias Arbo though has his own voice too and a way with lush melodies that means this little ditty has the biggest of hearts that will reverberate beyond the romantically inclined. I felt a classic pop suaveness but never at the expense of that empathetic quality, that means we can all hold hands at the end and not feel in the least bit self conscious at such actions. Fragile beauty that recalls Sigur Ros. KH
