Bram Bancroft – Pass Out The World

Now that is taking it at your own pace, almost post-rock even but with the vocals arriving early we knew we were dealing with something different here and I must say it really reminded me of Tindersticks and Cass McCombs. A Stuart Staples character, also from Nottingham as it goes, capable of the hushed sweet somethings and a beautiful arrangement to decorate his words. All makes for a most subtle piece, perfect Saturday morning fare because it lets someone else take on the weight of the world for a change. And boy are they proficient in the role. KH
