We’d expect as much from Letting Up Despite Great Faults, the sound of another century and the part that we hold most dear. We could trace this back to peak, ‘Substanc’e era, New Order and even though the similarities are mirror image it still feels like we are being treated to the way foreward. ‘Halfway Crooks’ deserves a high quality headphones station because there is an elaborate arrangements to bed oneself into and in the process block out that horrible world to set up shop in one that is far more palatable. Vocally dreampop and cushioned amid all the chord rhapsody. KH
