Tropica – Deva – mp3hugger

Sure is an indie-rock motorik fuelled engine on ‘Deva’ and it makes for a hypnotic brew from this Cologne act. Add in vocals that are so ethereal we may as well be out in the Moors with Cathy out of Wuthering Heights. To be fair there is more in the tank too as ‘Deva’ offers up a finesse of noise that just screams anthem in waiting. No denying they do things a little off-kilter but the spark is genuine and so Tropica give us reason to be hopeful that the alternative scene might have turned a corner. KH
