It does approach us full of kooky charm alright, the kind that attracts the attention of off-kilter hugging types like us. Not least because all the woozy behaviour is topped off by a singer who knows how to take the edge off the ramshackle and by god does the whole effect amount to dreaminess. So before we knew it the swell had reached a manner that felt like it was sheer orchestration but done with Blush Face’s own velveteen stylings that include brass and a fair degree of unexpectedly wonderful trimmings.
