Selma Ninó – Keep On Burning

It is a slow build alright, not that when it gets its wings it’s not giddy for Selma is doing something different here – kinda twee but also endearing and of the kind that stands apart for that reason. There is some really beguiling playing too, in that it pulls at the heartstrings and though there is definitely an experimental bent to ‘Keep on Burning’ it really finds favour owing to its uniqueness and warmth. Absolutely beguiling stuff from Germany’s Teresa Henselmann. KH
