Such a roving acoustic guitar forage here, the kind that you wouldn’t expect to reveal something altogether country and tropical but Black Cherry Marble achieve it in a manner akin to Lord Huron. Of course there is a dreamy vocal there that might have come direct from First Aid Kit so ‘Stupid Happiness’ has bright and sparkling moments popping out from its every pore and which makes it a chance for us to break the cycle of blandom and get with a wispy sense of magic for a change.
