Veronica Everheart – Caught in Static

There’s a sweetness to Veronica’s opening salvo but before we got too comfortable we were whisked up into an indie-rock frenzy of the kind that reignited memories of plenty of 90’s act who didn’t give a moments thought to nuclear levels of guitar frenzy. I’m thinking Veruca Salt, the Breeders and Elastic for three but Veronica Everheart deserved to be out on her own for you don’t get this riotous from copying what has gone on before. So a proper firebrand and a tune that goes some way to restore faith in young acts and their way with punishing our ears to the edge of tinnitusville. Glorious. KH
