It does things that are novel that is for sure and that is what had us hanging on ‘Enny One Wil Love You’s every turn, whether it be the playing or the Dean Wareham (Luna) or Jonathan Donohue (Mercury Rev) vocals. Or indeed the playing that has a childlike sense of innocent reasoning. We were like a moth to a flame, no fatal consequences thankfully unless smiling uncontrollably for several minutes is cause for concern. Pony Girl dare to do something different and we’re more than happy to go along for the ride. KH
