The Churchhill Garden – Always There

Does do a little dallying around before setting us up on what is an impressive volley of chords and percussion. In other words the Churchhill Garden do have a dreamy texture, especially so when they reveal their vocal hand and we’re given license to star longingly in the middle distance and dream that the 90s might just be faithfully restored here. The truth is even better than that for ‘Always There’ is sweetness personified, a dreampop affair that channels all the best jangly bits from U2’s the Edge in one glorious tune that ends in an absolute blaze of shoegaze glory.
