Hermit – Sarah Wears Her Painted Hair

Liverpool band and their tangled up wires approach just produces something magical each time. The band are out of whack with the fake busy modern world for they take their time from a perch that is bedecked in the best of the psychedelic folk movement and with all those carousing chords and light percussive elements is embedding a singer who is a part-time hummer to go with it. ‘Sarah Wears Her Painted Hair’ dad me in a trance and though the track extended for an usually long 6 minutes plus it just gave us extra reason to slow down and feel the expressed intention of living in the moment. The Doors are in there and on this evidence the Hermit will be opening quite a few more of them as they inevitably progress up the ladder. KH
