The Bird Yellow – ILU

Well if nothing else ‘ILU’ is different and though it might be electronic in its approach you can tell there is plenty of human emotion behind Barcelona’s the Bird Yellow (Gerard Vidal Barrena). The piece grows in stature as it goes, slowly but surely drawing us closer to the speaker and raising the pulse as it goes. How this track moved from a squiggle of sound to something with undoubted dancefloor appeal I’ll never know but the sure sign that we were invested is evidenced by the fact that we just didn’t want it to end. We need the 12-inch remix Gerard! KH
