Super Pyramid – Better Angels

What an opening, reminded me of Eels ‘Novacaine for the Soul’ but it was clear that Super Pyramid (Canada’s Ben Rowley) dance to their own beat and so ‘Better Angels’ offers up a glam psychedelic rock stomp that feels retro but also fantastically capable of stepping out with the summer people of 2025. This is giddy and foot loosening stuff and won’t have any issue in getting most into a mood that is suggestive of their lighter side coming to the fore. It works us into a lather and the sort that has an inevitable bubbly outcome. KH
