My oh my what a piece of spirited folk, the sort that erupts with a life force that the rest of us would love to bottle so that we could feel the elixir ourselves. ‘Life on Loan’ bursts with intention, timeless in its direction but I wouldn’t have been surprised if it had been recorded back in the seventies. You see there is a warmth of the committed to vinyl about Brian Truluck Radin tones – you know when people sat down and their sole form of entertainment was what came from the mechanical turntable in the corner. I miss those days but ‘Life on Loan’ is a lovely reminder of those contented times. KH
