There is a dramatic feel to this Pike song insofar as it shows this act to be the type that go their own way. ‘Final Words’ reminded me of Sonic Youth but with perhaps a bit more melody in tow, so this off-kilter track never sounds like it has experimentation as its driving force. In short the type of indie act from Canada that have our ears cocked to their twee creativeness. Makes like the sort of undulating alt number we’ll be returning to time and again. KH
