Nervous City Nervous Self – Berlin Blues

What I do like about what Stockholm’s Nervous City Nervous Self have done here is that they have put their own unique stamp on proceedings, in other words ‘Berlin Blues’ takes off where few others have ventured. An altogether off-kilter, offbeat piece of warped vinyl sound but there is a groove here that soon feels like the weekend once you iron out the kinks in your head. There is a lot to take in, all good though and what is best that David Josephson just sounds like he has unearthed a dancey direction that is unmistakably his own. KH
