So bass inclined from this Portland trio, affecting a sort of indie funk as a result and with effects that have us deep in space at times but for the most part both feet are planted on planet earth because of singer Zoe Larsen’s take on matters that is all too human. The romance is subtle, probably not measurable at first but getting embedded with Mars FM shows them to have the wallowing folk sound down. At times things even get spiritual so we have a piece a music that goes beyond the obvious, rising to the heavens and fit for the deity of your choosing. KH
