Life On Other Planets – H.E.A.V.E.N.

That beat had me think Run-DMC first (though it takes its inspiration from Madchester!) and but Life on Other Planets (Autry Fulbright, Fiona Silver J Clark) prove they are more than just wise beats and cool hip-hop for H.E.A.V.E.N. also sees fit to supply us with a dreampop confection on top. With a singer who makes like Sarah Cracknell out of St. Etienne you can probably track a lineage back to that elite electro pop English act from the 90’s. It swirls, it contours and generally makes pleasant with everyone who comes into contact with it. Yep, you’d have to be tripping the light fantastic to this alright. KH
