‘Ever At All’ has the sparkle of a psychedelic number that exists in a world beyond our dreary one and what Clowder also appear adept at doing is turning on the shoegaze elements so that by the end of the first minute it has jumped through several genres to arrives at something dreamy. Pop that is turned inside out in other words and which has a definite weakness for My Bloody Valentine. Of course we were on bended knee praising every twist along the way, not least a melodic vocal performance that takes all the edge off proceedings. Beautiful. KH
