LA’s Tremours, well named because the action in ‘Postcards’ had the ground underfoot shaking…nearly anyway! This is lo-fi, a blast from yesteryear but melodies exist amid all the firing instruments and it feels exciting as a result. For me there is such an off-the-cuff approach taken that ‘Postcards’ is hard to classify, is it dreampop, electrogaze or just a peek back in time when indie made us feel as if we were set apart from the dull mainstream. There is something stirring here, in fact it may already have happened. KH
