Saltfalls – Maple Town

Now that is a voice I wasn’t expecting, or rather the way the words are sung in such a different fashion but the sort that feels like it could sure make hay with my affections. Ukrainian act Saltfalls come across as archetypal indie sorts into the bargain as ‘Maple Town’ strikes an off-kilter chord but is so full of wide-eyed wonder so as to offer us an escape route from blandville. There are stops and detours along the way but each on just adds to the mosaic of a track that is just being itself and more power the Berlin based Saltfalls for making it so. A lolloping delight. KH
