sadplanet – La Maga

No doubting the dreampop bone-fide’s of London’s sadplanet for there is a swathe of chords feedbacking for all they worth. On the lighter side there is jangle aplenty and of course an ethereal vocal so levity filled this could be peak Cocteau Twins or Black Box Recorder. It would be easy to pale into insignificance in such company but ‘La Maga’ soars magnificently to have us all hurtling back to the origins of this wondrous sound in the early 90’s. 24-carat swoon in other words.
