Sure does have its head stuck in a space and time continuum where guitars hold court, but where the human voice performs a role that is vital even if you have to decipher it amid the walls of feedback. There is definite depth to ‘Salt’ – in fact it peppered my day with considerable joy. I’ll be honest though I had to return a number of times to fully appreciate the subtlety amid the mountains of noise. Glad I did because the songwriting became apparent several runs in. Reminded me a lot of Ride on those early EP’s of theirs, in other words sheer shoegaze perfection from this Toledo act. KH
