Lyndsay Stone – August First

What an interesting folk take that draws from the past but which also goes beyond the obvious and in a fashion that reminds me of Beth Orton. NYC based Lyndsay Stone has the ability to let it flow. almost ad-lib but never losing control of the song. ‘August First’ is liberating as a result, a thoroughly pure stream of consciousness full of innocence and romance. Stripping it all back. KH
