There is a midsummers evening’s flow to ‘Not Today’, a bit 70’s radio in its soft rock approach and you could apply that grasp for immediate melody to Austin’s Lunar Gold. And more besides for there is a sense of destiny, broader horizons than most of us can hope to dream up but which appears to be within the reach of this act. They make it sound effortless and when the chorus kicks in our heart swells to a degree that it is clear we are in the company of grandiose ambition that reminds of Manchester’s James of yore. KH
