Cowboy Dinosaur – Making Friends

‘Making Friends’ sure has a ring of an indie rock anthem, slacker to a degree and definitely imbibing on some of that alt rock 90s influence but Cowboy Dinosaur do have a way with their own brand of soar too. It means we are taken on a swell journey full of chord chops, vocal swells and a general mood of jauntiness that is rare these days. And yes there is more than a hint of ‘Your Forgot It In People’ Broken Social Scene – the best kind in other words. Convincing and convivial stuff from this Portland troupe. KH
