There is a confident shuffle to ‘Life’, Helsinki’s Carla Aakre setting an evocative tone and for good reason for she has plenty of worth to impart. Like what she has learnt from growing up, the bumps and the wonder along the way. Makes for a tome for both the young and the old as a result, but much more than that ‘Life’ is a persuasive piece of folk rock that is confident, melodic and there for us every step of the way.
