I was getting a little bit of a Kate Bush flashback early doors but ‘Last Night’ proved itself to be throwing us a red herring because its defining feature is of a jangle filled ethereal resplendent indie pop anthem to fuel the machinations of the dreamers of the world. Though things move along at a furious pace such is the deftness of Hamburg’s Roller Derby that it never feels overwhelming, instead we’re right up there on the fluffy cloud with a view of the spectacular world all around us. Philine Meyer and Manuel Romero Soria show us that purest love can turn the banal into the most fantastical of experiences. KH
