JJ Miller – Broken Bells

‘Broken Bells’ feels ever so effortless to me, the JJ Miller sound. What we get is pop/rock that never chooses the easy option but still feels accessible to all. In other words there is a swoon to proceedings, a little Gallic influence and the hint of summer on ‘Broken Bells’ that we need to get us beyond winter’s grip. Canada’s JJ Miller has a gift for melody that is for sure and on this track he has injected a svelte sense of arrangement that quickens the pulse even further. KH
