Famous Friend – Carmen San Diego

You couldn’t look too far beyond Beach Fossils or back to base in the 80’s for the older among us, that driving sense of grey in the vocals that contrast so eloquently with playing that has Peter Hook’s trademark bass. Where Famous Friend (LA’s Zachariah Carlson) really make hay however is in a chorus that lifts track to new heights. ‘Carmen San Diego’ gives us something to come back to time and again, a keeper in other words.
