CMON CMON – Turn Off The Lights

Always great to welcome a new song from Belgium’s CMON CMON and what a way to kickstart the new year given the sheer light and effervescent nature of ‘Turn Off The Lights’. With guitars suitably jangly and words suitably melodic this was always going to appeal to our Teenage Fanclub attuned affections. Of course CMON CMON bring their own swagger too, aided and abetted by the crucial indie pop vulnerability to mark ‘Turn Off The Lights’ as one of the first great songs of 2025. And there is plenty more from where that came from on the band’s new ‘Headwind’ EP. KH
