Strange New World – Escape

Sure does take the heat out of the day and it comes from both the tropical playing and a singer who knows how to effect soft and gentle. An affecting listen was inevitable as a result but not only that there is so much to enjoy in an arrangement that harks back to another time when musicianship was prized over production wizardry. This is healing, rock that will work for folksters and folk that will appease the rockers. As the bombast of Christmas takes place all around we have ‘Escape’ to iron our furrowed brows.
