Still Youth – Skull

I was feeling like we were going to get our post-rock hit of the day from Still Youth. From early on ‘Skull’ was weaving and capable of a head massaging role owing to its chiming array of chords and the most soothing embedded vocals you could imagine. Perfect headphones and you material and none of the rest of the world matters because this is a composition to lift you beyond the strife of everyday life and to a much more heavenly plain. Even when things skyrocket in the volume stakes it still felt that this was escapism of the very best kind from Ottawa. KH
