A serious bass line there and it sets the scene for what is a jaunty work, with bonus cowbell which really tells you everything you need to know about Oz act Scared of Sharks. That they come across as punksters too just shows what adaptable sorts they are, full of fun and mischievous glints in the eye. Yep, this is a lark but it’s also a pretty cool indie rock shuffle that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Like the Fall if they had formed in the new century and so there is plenty of possibilities for how it is going to pan out for this most clever of acts. KH
