Keith Goodwin – Jasmine and Cigarettes

Might just be the time of year but ‘Jasmine and Cigarettes’ had more than a ring of Christmas about it for me. But only if Brian Wilson had had a hand in it for there is plenty here to suggest that Keith Goodwin has swallowed the pop rulebook as written by the Beach Boys. So we have a presentation that is full of the sweetest harmonies and that can only have the effect of giving us a leg-up in the mood department. ‘Jasmine and Cigarettes’ fills the space all around and as a result the mood turns joyful and triumphant.
