No mincing of words on ‘What a Day’ and delivered in a manner that reminds of Kirsty MacColl. Yep, yet another refreshing effort from Bria Keely of Better Joy. We need more of this straight talking but of course the real spark is in a tune that shows us plenty jangle and a firebrand who is setting herself up for hero status such is her lofty and detached style. Only a few tracks into getting to know this act, staking a claim for the very top. KH
