There’s a dreaminess here that puts ‘Into Bliss’ beyond mere ambience and that is evidenced by the chiming chords which have a soothing effect before the vocals take us deep into Pale Saints territory. So Belgium’s A Place In Between appear to have studied the early 90’s scene well and ‘Into Bliss’ would have thrived then (and now) as a result. Could see Sigur Ros/Slowdive fans finding favour too and much more besides as things go supernova in the third minute. This is epic stuff and absolutely thrilling on headphones, the vibrant detail showcasing an all encompassing production. Bodes well for ‘A Place in Between’s debut album out early next year. KH
