There is no doubting there is a bright eyed manner to ‘The Faithful Heart’, most evident when this act reveal a singer who has scanned many a grand horizon and come back with what he has learnt. You can hear the ambition, the leap beyond repetition and the general exuberance of a better way of doing things. At its heart is a bulbous pop song that gives the rest of us inspiration for doing likewise.
