There is a folk splendour to shepup’s debut and it is achieved from the simplest tools of the trade. Namely acoustics and vocal expression that conjures an adult lullaby mode so we reclaim some of the wonder that the other adults i the room abandoned aeons ago. ‘Honey Barge’ softly goes about its business and it does feel right that it has landed at our doorstep given that the season is just around the corner. The fairy at the top of Christmas tree has been turned into folk song and what a joy it is from this New York bard. KH
