Safety First – Mushrooms

Must say I was enthused to read this Sydney band rank Treefight For Sunlight highly in their list of influences. That’s different and instructive of what Safety First are about, namely creators of bounce about indie-rock anthems that set themselves for that big chorus because really that is what we are all here for isn’t it? Aside from that technicolour centerpiece there is plenty to ‘Mushrooms’ to have us enthused, namely lively chords and all set-off by a singer (Lexi Green) who would give prime Damon Albarn a run for his money.
