Dreamy textures as you’d expect from Hamburg’s Roller Derby, the clincher of course is that they attach a chorus so fuelled with alt pop wonder that it feels as the universe is a lot more magical than the reality. ‘Emily’s Dance’ is an involving work, an arrangement that has depth and an emotional swell that sweeps up the listener. If that wasn’t enough there are some moody sequences at the end so we are eased back into normal life as a final gift from Roller Derby.
