Pterocat – American Business

There is a woozy manner to this Pterocat track that reminded me of various parts the Sundays and the Cocteau Twins so we’re in dreampop territory but in an attractive bent out of shape manner. ‘American Business’ might take off in directions unexpected but what is clear is that there is purity to the pop qualities too so we get something that sounds like what has gone on before but also brings a piece of unexpected individuality to proceedings too. Got to encourage such innovative expression from this Atlanta troupe. KH
