No Sailor – Houdini

Not a character who comes up for discussion all that much and it is a shame because he is a very interesting subject. Philadelphia’s No Sailor take a funny and cute take on proceedings and so ‘Houdini’ sparkles with a light and easy tone. The kind that you’d have down for the campfire, fun and frolics and a love song but one that never takes itself too seriously. No Sailor remind me a lot of Noah & The Whale here and there is a cute indie pop interplay as a result. A happy go-lucky sort and you can underestimate tunes as cute as can be so I know we’ll be frequently calling upon ‘Houdini’ to get us out of all sorts of mental scrapes. KH
