Gus Englehorn – One Eyed Jack Pt. III (Epilogue)

A track that is deliciously odd it was bound to have a chance at winning us over. That it reminded of Clinic was yet another feather in its cap so this nursery rhyme with adult undertones that lollops this way and that and had us humming in time might be one of the most endearing few minutes we’ve heard all year. The synth swell, the words coagulate and things simply fall into disorderly structures that possess charm in abundance. This former professional snowboarder has pivoted to majestic new heights. KH
